About
Shape Clip is a local-first freeform screenshot cutout tool for Chrome. Click the extension, trace around any object or region on the current page, and use the floating toolbar to copy or save the cutout as a transparent PNG. Shape Clip is freeform-first, with precise box and oval modes available when you need clean geometric selections. It also includes padding, edge smoothing, and a local recent-clips history. Everything runs in your browser. Shape Clip does not require an account, does not upload screenshots, does not use remote processing, and does not sell or share user data. Great for: Making freeform transparent PNG cutouts Capturing odd-shaped UI fragments for notes and design feedback Copying page snippets into documents, chats, slides, and issue reports Saving local clip history for reuse
