About

1. Single purpose description

Privacy practices tab → Single purpose
Display git tag names as inline badges next to commits on GitHub commit
listing pages, so users can see which commit corresponds to which release
  without leaving the page.

  2. Host permission justification

Privacy practices tab → Permission justification → https://github.com/*
Required to run the content script on GitHub commit pages
  (github.com/<owner>/<repo>/commits/<branch>) and to fetch the
corresponding /tags page so the extension can map tags to commit SHAs.
The extension only reads pages the user has already navigated to and
does not modify any GitHub data.

  3. Remote code use justification

This one is important — answer "No, I am not using remote code" if the form has a Yes/No selector. The extension
does not execute any remote code; it only fetches HTML from github.com and parses the response as data with
DOMParser. No eval, no remote script loading, no dynamic imports.

If the field requires a text justification regardless, paste:
This extension does not execute any remote code. It only issues fetch
requests to github.com to retrieve HTML pages (the repository's /tags
page) and parses them with the browser's DOMParser to extract text data
(tag names and commit SHAs). No scripts, modules, or dynamic code from
any remote source are loaded or executed. All executable JavaScript ships
  inside the extension package itself.

  4. Data usage compliance certification

Privacy practices tab → Data usage
  Tick all four checkboxes:
  - ☑ I do not collect or use user data
  - ☑ I do not sell or transfer user data to third parties
  - ☑ I do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to my item's single purpose
  - ☑ I do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes

  Then in Certification, tick:
  - ☑ I certify that my data usage complies with the Developer Program Policies

  5. Contact email

Settings (gear icon, top-right of dashboard, NOT the item's settings)
  - Add your contact email — [email protected] is fine
  - Save

  6. Verify the contact email

  - Same Settings page, click Verify next to the email you just added
  - Google sends a verification link to that inbox
  - Click the link, return to the dashboard
