Reading a long email thread into ChatGPT or Claude is painful — copy-pasting
from Gmail drags in broken formatting, duplicated quoted replies, signatures and
hidden messages. Gmail Thread → Markdown does it properly: it expands the entire
conversation, reads every single message, and gives you tidy Markdown that an AI
can actually understand.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Open a conversation in Gmail.
2. Click the extension icon — a side panel opens on the right.
3. Click “Copy thread as Markdown”.
4. Paste into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any AI and ask your question.

That’s it. The full thread is on your clipboard as Markdown.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Captures EVERY message — it automatically expands the “N older messages”
  stack and every collapsed reply, so nothing in the thread is missed. (Gmail
  doesn’t keep collapsed messages on the page until they’re opened — this
  handles that for you.)
• Clean Markdown — headings, bold/italic, lists, links, code, blockquotes and
  tables are converted faithfully.
• Per-message headers — each message is labelled with sender, recipients, date
  and any attachment names, so the AI knows who said what and when.
• Strips the noise — duplicated quoted history is removed by default so the AI
  reads the real content, not ten copies of the same reply. Prefer the full
  chain? Tick “Include quoted history”.
• Live preview — see exactly what was copied in the side panel, and re-copy any
  time with one click.
• Side panel UI — stays docked while you read, so it’s out of your way.

Your email never leaves your browser. The extension reads the thread you have
open and writes Markdown to your clipboard — locally, on your machine. It has no
servers, no analytics, no tracking, and no account. It only runs on
mail.google.com, and only when you click it.
