The Online Text Editor lives in the browser action area; click the icon (or pin it for single-tap speed) and a crisp, distraction-free textarea drops into view.

Open any plain-text file—from configuration snippets to your grocery list—through the built-in file picker. The FileReader API ingests the content completely offline; nothing ever leaves your machine.

Edit in a resizable, spell-check-friendly textarea. The layout is intentionally barebones so your keyboard shortcuts work exactly as expected (Ctrl + A, Ctrl + Z, etc.).

Save with one tap: the extension wraps your text in a Blob and streams it to the Downloads API. You decide where it lands, and because the file remains a standard UTF-8 text document, it opens flawlessly in any editor or mobile app.
