About

SiteWarden is a context-aware website blocker that only activates when you're actually working.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Add Focus URLs — the tabs that mean you're working (e.g. docs.google.com, notion.so, github.com).
2. Add Blocked Sites — the domains that distract you (e.g. reddit.com, youtube.com, twitter.com).
3. When any focus tab is open, blocked sites are automatically redirected to a clean "Site Blocked" page.
4. Close your focus tabs and everything unblocks — no timer, no override needed.

FEATURES
• Context-aware blocking — sites are only blocked when a focus tab is open
• Badge counter — shows blocked site count on the toolbar icon
• Right-click quick-add — right-click any page or link to add its domain to the blocklist
• Omnibox integration — type "block" in the address bar followed by a domain
• Toast notifications — brief confirmation when a site is added via context menu
• Import/Export — back up and restore all settings as a JSON file
• Dark mode — automatic dark theme based on your system preference

PRIVACY
SiteWarden does not collect, transmit, or share any data. All settings are stored locally in your browser. No analytics, no accounts, no external servers. See the full privacy policy for details.

PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED
• storage — save your focus URLs, blocked sites, and preferences locally
• tabs — detect whether a focus tab is open and redirect blocked tabs
• webNavigation — intercept navigation to blocked sites before the page loads
• contextMenus — add a right-click option for quickly blocking a site
• Content script (all URLs) — display a toast notification when a site is added via context menu (does not read or modify page content)
