About

theGateway Lite NA is a side panel controller for managing multiple online Software Defined Radio (SDR) receivers simultaneously in your browser.

Part of the hams.live system — a donations-based platform for the amateur radio community — theGateway Lite NA gives you a streamlined way to listen to and compare signals from SDR receivers across North America.

FEATURES:

• 5-Slot SDR Controller — Select and activate up to 5 SDR receivers at once, each running in its own browser tab.

• Audio Monitoring — Mute and unmute individual SDR tabs with one click. Compare signals by toggling between receivers instantly.

• One-Click Tuning — Set frequency, mode (AM/USB/LSB/CW/NFM/WFM), and zoom level, then push settings to all active SDR tabs simultaneously with the Adjust button.

• Side Panel Interface — Controls stay visible in a side panel while you switch between SDR tabs to view waterfalls, S-meters, and interact with receivers.

• North America SDR Database — Hundreds of publicly available SDR receivers across North America, sorted by state/province for easy selection. Database refreshes automatically from hams.live servers.

• Persistent Settings — Your slot selections and frequency settings are saved between sessions.

HOW TO USE:

1. Click the theGateway icon in your toolbar to open the side panel
2. Select an SDR receiver from the dropdown in any slot
3. Click Activate — the SDR opens in a browser tab (muted by default)
4. Click Monitor to toggle audio on/off for that slot
5. Click between SDR tabs to view their waterfalls and S-meters
6. Use Adjust to push new frequency/mode/zoom to all active SDRs
