  InstaFilter lets you control what appears in your Instagram feed.
  
  Add keywords you want to avoid, and posts containing those words — even text embedded inside images — will be silently hidden while you browse. No disruption, no blur, no delay. The post simply disappears.

  KEYWORD FILTERING

  Type a word or phrase into the Block tab and InstaFilter will hide any post that contains it. Matching works across six sources per post:
  
  • Caption text and visible post copy
  • Hashtags (e.g. #ad, #sponsored, #hustle)
  • Instagram's auto-generated image alt text
  • The poster's username
  • Text detected inside the image or video frame (OCR)
  • Aria-label attributes on interactive elements

  IMAGE OCR — READ TEXT INSIDE PHOTOS

  InstaFilter runs optical character recognition on every image in your feed. If a post contains a motivational quote, a price tag, a supplement label, or any other text baked into the image, your keyword filter will catch it. OCR runs entirely on your device using a bundled Tesseract engine — no image is ever uploaded anywhere.

  The Feed Analysis tab gives you a live picture of what Instagram is actually showing you. It tracks every post you scroll past and surfaces:
  
  Feed Snapshot — total exposures and unique accounts seen in the selected time window (All time, Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or a custom date range).
  
  Top Hashtags — the hashtags appearing most frequently in your feed, so you can see which topics the algorithm is amplifying.
  
  Top Accounts — the accounts you see most often, ranked by post count with a bar chart and direct ↗ links to each post.
  
  What Your Feed Is Becoming — theme detection across 16 categories including Fitness, Finance & Hustle, Tech & AI, Beauty & Hair, Travel, Food & Cooking, Motivation & Self-help, Entertainment, and more. A balance indicator tells you at a glance whether your feed is healthy and diverse or narrowing toward a single theme.
  
  Advanced Insights — expand the diagnostic panel to ask natural-language questions about your feed, drill into specific themes, and see which accounts are driving each topic cluster.

  BLOCKED POSTS LOG

  Every hidden post is logged permanently so you can review exactly what was blocked and why. Each entry shows the matched keyword, the source it was found in (caption, hashtag, image text, etc.), and a ↗ icon to open the original post on Instagram. The log only clears when you explicitly click "Clear log".
