Click the SafeLock icon in your toolbar and a fresh, strong password is ready instantly. Adjust the length, pick your character sets, and regenerate as many times as you like. Every password is built with crypto.getRandomValues — the same secure randomness your operating system uses — so no pattern, no bias, no predictability.

*QuickGen: Right-Click to Fill Any Form*

Signing up for a new account? Right-click inside any password field and choose QuickGen New Password. SafeLock generates a password and pastes it directly into the field for you — no copy-paste step required.

When SafeLock detects a "Confirm Password" field on the same page, it fills that automatically too. No more typing the same password twice, no more typos on registration forms.

QuickGen works on React apps, legacy sites, and everything in between — including inputs where direct value assignment would otherwise break the page's form state.

*Strength Meter*

Every generated password gets an instant entropy-based strength rating: Very Weak, Weak, Fair, Good, or Strong. The strength meter also works when you type a password manually, so you can evaluate passwords you already have.

*Full Control Over Your Password Rules*

Length: 8 to 64 characters via a smooth slider
Character sets: toggle Uppercase (A–Z), Lowercase (a–z), Numbers (0–9), and Special characters (!@#$…) independently
Guaranteed diversity: when a character class is enabled, at least one character from that class is guaranteed in every password — no more "technically valid but all lowercase" outputs
Character preview panel: expand the panel to see exactly which characters are in play before you generate
Your settings are saved automatically and restored the next time you open SafeLock.

*Clipboard Safety*

After you copy a password, SafeLock starts a 10-second countdown and then clears the clipboard automatically. The copy button locks until you generate or edit a new password, preventing accidental double-copies. Your password spends as little time in your clipboard as possible.

SafeLock runs entirely inside your browser. Generated passwords are never transmitted anywhere. There is no analytics, no tracking, no remote backend, and no account required. Your passwords stay yours.

*Permissions — and Why They're Needed*

SafeLock requests only the permissions it actually uses:

Context Menus — powers the QuickGen right-click action
Storage — saves your length and character-set preferences across sessions
Active Tab + Scripting — used as a clipboard fallback on sites where the Clipboard API is restricted
Clipboard Write — copies the generated password to your clipboard
Host Permissions — allows the content script that detects and fills form fields to run on any site you visit
No permissions are used for data collection or tracking.

Click the SafeLock icon in your toolbar
Set your length and character preferences
Click ↺ to regenerate, or start from the auto-generated password
Click Copy Password
QuickGen (right-click fill):

Click inside a password field on any site
Right-click and choose QuickGen New Password
SafeLock fills the field (and the confirm field, if found) instantly
