Web Insights for WhatPulse measures the time you spend on different websites and provides detailed productivity insights through your WhatPulse account. HOW IT WORKS This extension works alongside the WhatPulse desktop application (version 6.0 and above). It tracks which websites you visit and for how long, then sends this information to the WhatPulse app running on your computer. From there, you can view detailed statistics about your browsing habits, identify productivity patterns, and understand how you spend your time online. PRIVACY FIRST Your privacy is our priority. Here's how we protect your data: • Local connection only - The extension communicates exclusively with the WhatPulse app on your own computer (localhost). No data is sent directly to the internet from this extension. • Domain-level tracking - We only record the domain name (e.g., "github.com"), never the full URL or page content. Your specific browsing activity remains private. • No browsing history - The extension doesn't store any browsing history. Data is sent to your local WhatPulse app and immediately discarded. • Private browsing respected - No data is collected when you're using incognito or private browsing mode. • You're in control - Easily pause tracking or disconnect at any time through the extension settings, or inside the WhatPulse app settings. FEATURES • Automatic time tracking for websites you visit • Input activity measurement (keystrokes, clicks, scrolls) • Seamless integration with WhatPulse desktop application statistics • Visual connection status indicator • Zero configuration required after initial pairing REQUIREMENTS • WhatPulse desktop application version 6.0 and above (download at whatpulse.org) • One-time pairing approval in the WhatPulse app ABOUT WHATPULSE WhatPulse has been helping users understand their computer usage since 2004. Join millions of users who track their digital activity to improve productivity and gain insights into their computing habits. Questions or feedback? Visit whatpulse.org/help CHANGES 0.3.0 -> 0.4.0 (2025-01-27) Track input events in same-origin iframes (fixes Google Docs)
