About

Double-click any word on any web page — and its definition appears right there. No new tabs, no copy-paste, no waiting for a server.

⚡ INSTANT
Definitions pop up exactly where you're reading, in a clean bubble. Click anywhere or press Esc to dismiss.

🔒 100% OFFLINE & PRIVATE
The entire dictionary — 83,000 words and 136,000 definitions — is bundled inside the extension. It makes zero network requests: no analytics, no tracking, no accounts, no servers. The words you look up never leave your device. It even works on a plane.

🧠 SMART ABOUT WORD FORMS
Double-click "made" and you'll get both the adjective "made" and the verb "make". It understands irregular forms: mice → mouse, better → good, leaves → leaf and leave.

🛠 FLEXIBLE
• Works on every website
• Optional trigger: plain double-click, Alt+double-click, or Ctrl/Cmd+double-click
• Manual lookup from the toolbar popup
• Light & dark theme, following your system
• Never activates inside text fields, so it won't interrupt your typing

Missing the discontinued Google Dictionary extension? This is the modern replacement: the same double-click gesture you're used to — rebuilt for Manifest V3, with the dictionary stored locally instead of on Google's servers.

PERMISSIONS, EXPLAINED
• "Read and change data on websites": needed only to detect your double-click and draw the definition bubble on the page. All processing is local.
• "Storage": saves your two settings (on/off and trigger choice).
That's it. No other permissions, no remote code.
