About

Tab Oscillating Blocker is a local-first focus-assistance Chrome extension. It detects whether a user is frequently switching tabs within a short period. When the switching behavior exceeds a local threshold, the extension opens a full-screen breathing reset page on the current tab, interrupting unconscious attention fluctuations with a short countdown and breathing guidance.

All settings, ignored sites, work periods, and reset statistics are stored on the user's local machine in `chrome.storage.local`. No account is required, and no data is uploaded to a server.

Core Features:

- Detects frequent tab switching using a sliding time window.

- Opens a full-screen breathing reset page upon triggering.

- Provides today's reset count and the local trend for the past 7 days.

- Supports adjusting the trigger count, time window, and breathing lock duration.

- Supports work period control.

- Supports an ignored site list to avoid accidentally blocking frequently used work tools or document sites.

- Minimal permissions: Only uses storage, tabs, and activeTab.

Applicable Scenarios:

- Reduce unconscious switching between work and distraction tabs.

- Add a brief, clear mindfulness pause before attention wanes.

- See your tab-switching patterns without relying on cloud tracking.
