About
MatchFinder is a digging tool for Bandcamp. Instead of browsing random profiles, MatchFinder helps you filter supporter profiles based on real overlap with your own taste. Import your own collection and wishlist in just a few clicks, then start evaluating other supporters efficiently. You organize releases using three simple buckets: RARE / MEDIUM / LOW. How to use it properly: While checking a supporter collection, immediately save the best album or track links into RARE or MEDIUM. After reviewing a profile, import everything you didn’t like into LOW in a couple of clicks. Because duplicates are globally blocked, importing disliked releases can never overwrite or damage your existing RARE or MEDIUM lists. Over time, LOW becomes your negative taste reference. The larger it grows, the clearer and more reliable your filtering becomes. There is no practical limit — RARE, MEDIUM, and LOW can grow into the hundreds or thousands. The more data you build, the stronger the signal becomes. When checking new supporters, focus on the RARE + MEDIUM vs LOW ratio, always considering the supporter’s collection size and the amount of data already imported into your own lists. There is no fixed threshold. Context matters: collection size, number of imports, and accumulated LOW data all influence how reliable the signal is. You are not judging individual tracks. You are evaluating collection overlap between listeners. Key features – Import your Bandcamp collection and wishlist in two clicks (up to 1500 items each) – Analyze supporter collections directly from album, track, or following/fans page, without visiting supporter profiles. – Default analysis limit of 1500 releases per supporter (intentional design choice) – If no matches appear within the first 1500 releases, the profile is likely not worth digging – Fast analysis: ~1 to ~7 seconds per supporter (depending on collection size) – Compare releases against your own curated lists – Clear rarity indicators (RARE / MEDIUM / LOW / IMPORTED) – Global Last Check tracking to avoid rechecking the same profiles – Global SEEN tracking to avoid revisiting already evaluated supporters – Match count guidance: high matches → dig deeper, low or zero → skip fast – Collection size displayed after each check to evaluate supporter depth – Clean, minimal interface focused on serious digging – Global duplicate protection: the same release can never be added twice – Rarity groups always take priority if a release already exists (RARITY > IMPORTED) MatchFinder is an independent, unofficial tool. All analysis is based solely on publicly visible information. The extension runs primarily client-side in your browser. No Bandcamp content is hosted, mirrored, or redistributed. Only license-related data is processed externally. This build is designed for intentional, manual digging, helping reduce noise and support faster, more confident decisions.
