About

This browser extension draws upon State Library Victoria's copyright-free image collection. This collection features artistic works in the public domain: illustrations, maps, architectural drawings, and advertisements more than 70 years old after the life of their creators, and photographs taken before 1 January 1955.

The images are made available via the International Image Interoperability Framework's (IIIF) image API.

ManIIIFestor is an experiment by SLV LAB – State Library Victoria’s prototyping and innovation lab.

CONTENT WARNING

Please be aware this collection contains images and imagery that are outdated or biased and reflect attitudes of the creator at the time. These images may be considered offensive or harmful and have been retained by the Library as part of the historical record.
