Changelog
- May 31, 2026description
Letterboxd Photos adds a photo gallery directly to every Letterboxd film page — so you can see how a film actually looks without leaving the site. A clean photo panel appears below the film details with two tabs: • Stills — up to 24 cinematic shots from the film, sorted by quality • Posters — key art in English and international versions only Navigate with the on-screen arrows or your keyboard. Click any photo to open it full-screen, then switch to a grid view to browse the whole gallery at once. Images are fetched from TMDB (The Movie Database), the largest open movie image community. Duplicates are automatically removed — no title-card versions of the same frame, no 15 copies of the same poster in different languages. THIS EXTENSION REQUIRES A FREE TMDB API READ ACCESS TOKEN: 1. Create a free account at themoviedb.org 2. Go to Settings → API and request a Developer key 3. Click the extension icon → paste your token → Save & Validate That's it. The key is stored locally and never leaves your browser. The full source code is available on GitHub: github.com/Asoronite/Letterboxd_Photos No tracking. No analytics. No data collection. Your API key is stored only in your local Chrome storage and is used exclusively to fetch images from TMDB. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Letterboxd or TMDB. Image data provided by TMDB (themoviedb.org). Its a hobby project. No comercial goals/motives.
