VoidStack temporarily stores ideas and collected information while browsing, visually organizing and connecting them using an advanced graph system. The accumulated data is managed in Markdown format and can be instantly exported to local apps like Obsidian.

By docking VoidStack to the right sidebar alongside AI chats like ChatGPT or Claude, you can achieve highly efficient knowledge processing. The following steps are the best practice for quickly organizing complex concepts:

Copy and paste the AI chat output into VoidStack's main panel to create a note.

Use prompt buttons like "Map" at the bottom of the panel to instruct the AI to generate structured output following VoidStack's specific Markdown rules.

Right-click the structured note and execute "✂️ Split Note". The text will automatically expand into individual nodes with logical parent-child relationships.

Open the graph panel using the "[Graph]" button at the top, and visually overview and rearrange the expanded nodes to finalize your thoughts.

⚠️ Important Notice Regarding AI Features
VoidStack's AI features (summarization, tag generation, etc.) utilize Chrome's experimental built-in AI model (Gemini Nano). To use these features, you must enable the corresponding Chrome Flags via the following steps:

Enter chrome://flags/#prompt-api-for-extension into your address bar.

Change the setting to "Enabled" and restart your browser.
*Even if not enabled, all other features (note creation, graph visualization, exporting, etc.) will function perfectly.

🔒 Privacy and Required Permissions
VoidStack is completely designed with a local-first approach. Your note data and images are never sent to external cloud servers (AI processing is also completed entirely on-device).

This extension requires the following permissions:

storage: To securely save your note data and settings to the browser's local storage.

clipboardRead / clipboardWrite: To provide text input to the panel and bulk copy functionality for your accumulated notes.

scripting / activeTab: To inject the operation panel onto the current page only when you select "Add to VoidStack" from the context menu or click the extension icon. No scripts are executed in the background without your explicit action.
