About

Save any recipe, from any website, to your RecipeNook cookbook with one click. No copy-paste, no popups, no manual clean-up.

You find recipes everywhere. A friend sent you a link. A food blog you love just posted a new bake. The recipe behind tonight's dinner. Each one becomes a tab you'll come back to, a screenshot you'll find later, or (most often) a recipe you never see again.

RecipeNook Capture lives in your Chrome toolbar. Click the icon on any recipe page and the entire recipe (title, ingredients, method, prep and cook times, even the hero photo) lands in your personal RecipeNook cookbook. Tagged, searchable, yours.

HOW IT WORKS

Open the recipe in your browser as you normally would.
Click the RecipeNook icon in your toolbar.
A new tab opens with the recipe extracted, ready to tag and tuck away.

WHY IT WORKS WHERE PASTING A LINK DOESN'T

The extension reads the page after JavaScript has rendered it. That means recipes on sites that lazily load their content, like meal-kit services, supermarket recipe pages, and single-page apps, capture cleanly, not as empty placeholders. JSON-LD recipes import instantly; everything else is parsed by AI.

WHAT YOU GET ON THE RECIPENOOK SIDE

A searchable cookbook of every recipe you've saved.
Tags and collections to organise the way you actually cook.
Auto-detected prep / cook time, course, ingredients and steps.
PDF and JSON export. Your recipes are yours, forever.
Optional public share links on the Chef tier, to send a clean view to family.
Free for your first 10 recipes. No card needed.

PRIVACY

The extension only does anything when you click the toolbar icon. It never reads pages in the background, never tracks where you browse, never sends data anywhere except your own RecipeNook account. Authentication is your existing RecipeNook session cookie, so there's no separate token and no extra sign-in. Full privacy policy at www.recipenook.app/privacy.

ACCOUNT REQUIRED

A free RecipeNook account at www.recipenook.app. Three tiers:

Taster. Free, 10 recipes, manual entry, search & favourites.
Hobbyist. £3.99/mo. 100 recipes, full AI photo + web capture, tags.
Chef. £6.99/mo. unlimited recipes, AI clean-up, recipe & collection sharing.
