Shopify Store Analyzer is a lightweight tool for developers, designers, and e-commerce professionals who want to understand how Shopify stores are built.

WHAT IT DOES
When you visit any website and click the extension icon, it analyzes the page to determine:
• Whether the site is built on Shopify
• Which theme is being used 
• Which Shopify apps are installed 
• Store metadata like currency, language, and country

HOW IT WORKS
The extension reads publicly visible elements in the page (scripts, meta tags, CSS classes) to identify Shopify-specific patterns. All analysis happens locally in your browser.

PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS
• Read-only: Does not modify any website
• No data collection: Nothing is stored or transmitted
• Minimal permissions: Only accesses the current tab when you click the icon
• No account required: Works immediately after install

DETECTION COVERAGE

THEME DETECTION
Detects whether a store is using a standard Shopify theme, an Online Store 2.0–based theme, or a custom theme implementation. Theme identification is best-effort.

APP DETECTION
The extension can identify commonly used Shopify app categories, such as:
• Reviews and ratings tools
• Email marketing and automation tools
• Customer support and live chat tools
• Upsell, conversion, and loyalty tools
• Subscription and recurring payment tools

Detection is based on publicly visible page signals and is best-effort.

LIMITATIONS
• Theme detection is best-effort; custom or lesser-known themes may not be identified
• App detection covers popular Shopify apps only
• Currency detection works best on product pages with structured data
• Headless Shopify implementations may not be detected
