About

Selective Snipping Tool lets you capture any area of the visible browser tab with a simple click-and-drag. No keyboard shortcuts to memorize. No menus. Just click the toolbar icon, drag over what you want, and your snip is saved instantly.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Click the scissors icon in your toolbar
2. Drag to select any area of the page
3. Release — the snip saves automatically to Downloads/Snips/

FEATURES
- Pixel-perfect cropping with HiDPI / Retina display support
- Timestamped filenames so snips never overwrite each other (snip-2026-06-14-18-27-22.png)
- Saves to a dedicated Downloads/Snips/ folder to keep things tidy
- Press Escape or right-click to cancel at any time
- Shows live dimensions while dragging
- Works on any regular webpage

PRIVACY
This extension captures only what you explicitly select. No data is collected, stored, or transmitted anywhere. Everything happens locally in your browser.
