Boundless Insight adds a transcript panel and an AI analysis tab to every YouTube watch page. It's built for creators studying other channels, researchers digging through long videos, and anyone tired of scrubbing.

WHAT IT DOES

- Transcript panel inside YouTube's sidebar. Clickable timestamps jump the video. Chapter headers, in-page search, and one-click copy all included.
- Analysis tab that sends the transcript and optional top comments to your chosen AI model and streams the result back. Cancel any time.
- Floating overlay for the analysis. Pop it out so you can keep reading while you scrub the video.
- Local cache. Transcripts and analyses save for seven days per video. Reloading the page or collapsing the panel does not lose your work.
- Up to 10 saved analyses per video, with up to 3 streams running at once across all your tabs.

PROVIDER CHOICE

You bring the key. Pick from:
- Anthropic Claude Sonnet 4.6 (recommended, best results)
- OpenAI GPT-4.1
- Google Gemini 2.5 Pro

Optional: add a free YouTube Data API key to factor top comments into the analysis.

NO ACCOUNT, NO SIGNUP, NO TRACKING

The extension does not require a Boundless Creator account. There is no signup, no analytics, no telemetry, and no Boundless Insight server. Your data goes from your browser straight to the AI provider whose key you pasted. Nothing else is sent anywhere.

SETUP

1. Install. The options page opens automatically on first install.
2. Paste your API key for the provider you want to use.
3. Open any YouTube video. The panel attaches to the sidebar.
4. Click Generate Analysis on the Analysis tab. That's it.

WHO MADE IT

Built by Dave Jeltema, who runs the Boundless Creator Program for educational YouTube creators. Built originally to study competitors and analyze his own videos. Released because other people keep asking for it.
