Hide Anonymous Posts for Facebook quietly removes posts from anonymous group members and the auto-generated pseudonyms Facebook uses to mask them — names like "HandsomeCorgi6333", "SincerePeacock6350", "ThoughtfulBlueberry3893". Your feed stays focused on people willing to put their name to what they say. Features - One-click toggle from the toolbar — turn it on or off without leaving Facebook. - Two modes: hide posts completely, or replace them with a small "Anonymous post hidden · Show" pill you can click to reveal. - Counts how many anonymous posts it filters per day and over time, so you can see how noisy your feed actually was. - Detects both Facebook's "Anonymous participant" / "Anonymous member" labels and the auto-generated pseudonym pattern used for anonymous group posters. - Works in light and dark Facebook themes automatically. - Localized matching for English, Spanish, French, and German anonymous-author labels. How it works The extension runs only on facebook.com pages. It scans posts as they load and hides ones whose author label matches an anonymous pattern. Nothing leaves your browser — no tracking, no analytics, no remote servers. Your preferences and the counter are stored locally in your browser. Privacy This extension does not collect, transmit, or share any data. The only information it stores is your on/off preference, your "action when found" mode, and a local count of how many posts it has hidden. All storage stays on your device. We built this because we got tired of it. Facebook gives you no way to filter anonymous commenters from your threads, and nothing else on the web does it either. Most of these accounts exist for one reason: to bait people and start fights in busy groups. We wanted them gone, so we built this.
