Universal Export is the first Chrome extension that lets you export AI chat conversations via right-click — with zero DOM injection. No floating buttons, no page clutter. Just select, right-click, and export.

Most export tools inject buttons, sidebars, or overlays into your pages, breaking the native experience. Universal Export works entirely through the right-click context menu. Your AI chat pages stay completely clean.

It works on any AI chat platform and any regular web page. Smart content detection means no platform-specific hacks are needed.

■ How it works

1. Browse any AI chat or web page with content you want to save.
2. Select the text (or right-click directly on a message — the extension auto-detects the full response).
3. Right-click → Universal Export → choose your action.

■ Supported Platforms & Providers

Content detection works across all major AI chat services — both international (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and Chinese domestic (DeepSeek, Doubao, Qwen). It also covers the Ollama WebUI and any generic website that displays text conversations, thanks to smart detection rather than per-site adapters.

For AI-powered enhancement: connect your own API key from DeepSeek, OpenAI, Gemini, Qwen, Doubao, or any compatible provider. Alternatively, run a local model through Ollama — fully offline, no API key required. Provider setup takes under a minute.

■ Permissions Explained

• "<all_urls>" — Required because the extension works on any AI chat site you visit, not a hardcoded list. This is essential for cross-platform support.
• "contextMenus" — To add export options to the right-click menu.
• "storage" / "unlimitedStorage" — To store knowledge base entries and settings locally.
• "downloads" — To save exported files to your computer.
• "scripting" / "activeTab" — To detect selected content and execute export actions.
• "alarms" — To schedule periodic AI classification optimization.
• LLM provider hosts — To call AI APIs directly from your browser (no intermediate server).

No data is ever collected, tracked, or transmitted to the extension developer.
