Scroll is a local-first command palette for your AI chats. It passively
indexes your ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini conversations into a local
database, so you can search, bookmark, and ask questions across all of
them from any tab.

IMPORTANT: Scroll indexes conversations as you visit them. Your chats won't all appear immediately. They build up as you use ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini normally. The more you chat, the more Scroll has to search. The more you bookmark, the more Scroll has to answer questions with. Give it a few days of regular use.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Search — Open the palette and start typing. Scroll searches across all three providers at once. Premium includes semantic search (search by meaning, not just keywords).

Bookmark (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + ; or press the cloud icon in the sidebar) — Save any conversation locally, or to the cloud (encrypted) with a premium account. Cloud bookmarks sync across devices.

Ask your Library (?) — Type ? then a question. Scroll answers using your saved conversations, with citations. Free: 5/day. Premium: unlimited (subject to fair use).

Ask a Provider (@) — Type @ to send a prompt to ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, or @All to broadcast to all of them at once. Each opens a new chat. (Tip: if you highlight text on any webpage before opening the palette, you can insert your selection as context when @'ing a provider.)

Use as Context — Inject a past conversation into your current chat as context. Three formats: title summary, AI summary, or full transcript.

Export — Copy individual turns, full conversations, or export clean formatted versions. One click.

HOW SCROLL USES YOUR DATA

When you visit ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, Scroll automatically reads
and stores the full text of your conversations (prompts, responses,
titles, and URLs) in a local database in your browser. This data stays
on your device and powers local search, bookmarking, and export. No
data is transmitted unless you create an account, at which point
bookmarked conversations are synced to an encrypted cloud database and
AI features (semantic search, Ask your Library) send conversation
excerpts to OpenAI's API for processing. See our full privacy policy
