ChatGPT Scroll Lock
ChatGPT Auto-scroll Lock
- May 13, 2026description
Prevents ChatGPT from auto-scrolling to the bottom while you are reading earlier
ChatGPT Scroll Lock is a Chrome extension that prevents unwanted automatic scrolling while using ChatGPT. When reading older messages, ChatGPT often pulls the page back down whenever new content is generated, interrupting the reading experience and making it difficult to review previous responses comfortably. This extension solves that problem by locking the scroll position while still allowing normal user scrolling with the mouse, touchpad, keyboard, or touch gestures. It gives users full control over navigation without fighting against automatic page movement. Features: • Prevents forced auto-scrolling during AI response generation • Allows smooth manual scrolling at all times • Simple ON/OFF toggle with badge indicator • Lightweight and focused UX enhancement for ChatGPT users Built using JavaScript and Chrome Extension APIs.
