About

UISnap gives designers and developers a reliable way to capture web UI screenshots for marketing pages, app stores, and presentations — with consistent output every time.

KEY FEATURES

• Exact Dimensions — Set width × height in pixels. Built-in presets for common sizes (1280×800, 1440×900, 1920×1080, 375×812).

• WYSIWYG Window Control — See your current viewport size at a glance. Click "Apply to Window" to instantly resize the browser window to your target dimensions, then verify the layout before capturing.

• Rounded Corners — Apply 0–48 px corner radius, clipped precisely via Canvas API. Works with transparent backgrounds for PNG output.

• Retina / HiDPI Output — Export at 1× or 2× scale. A 1280×800 capture at 2× produces a crisp 2560×1600 image.

• Multiple Formats — PNG (with transparency), JPEG, or WebP with adjustable quality.

• Presets — Save named configurations (e.g. "Landing Hero", "App Store Screenshot") and reload them in one click.

• Privacy First — Everything runs locally in your browser. No data is collected, transmitted, or stored outside your device.

HOW TO USE

1. Open the extension popup on any web page.
2. Set your target dimensions or pick a preset.
3. (Optional) Click "Apply to Window" to resize the browser to match — what you see is what you'll capture.
4. Adjust corner radius, format, and scale.
5. Click "Capture Screenshot" — the file downloads automatically.

PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED

• activeTab — Required to capture the visible area of the current tab and measure its viewport dimensions. Only activates when you interact with the extension.
• scripting — Used to read the viewport size (innerWidth, innerHeight) of the active tab for accurate cropping.
• storage — Saves your settings and named presets locally using chrome.storage.local.
• downloads — Triggers the file download of the processed screenshot.

No host permissions are requested. The extension only operates on the tab you are actively viewing, and only when you explicitly click Capture or Apply.
