About

FreqWave EQ is a real-time audio equalizer for your browser tabs. It fixes the audio problems streaming media is full of: muddy podcasts, harsh upper-mids on YouTube, dialogue buried under music, weak laptop speakers struggling with badly mixed video.
Built by the personal need for cleaner speech, dialogues, voice-overs in videos, podcasts, streams etc.
8-band graphic EQ

A clean 8-band parametric equalizer covering a common audible range (32 Hz to 8 kHz), with ±12 dB of gain per band. Designed for tone control and balanced volume intensity.
Voice Enhancer — four modes for speech and dialogue:

Dialogue — boost speech intelligibility, tame low-frequency rumble
Leveler — dynamic range compression evens out quiet dialogue and loud peaks
Clarity — open up muffled or dark audio
Off — bypass when you don't need it

Real-time spectrum visualizer

Live FFT visualization shows you exactly what your EQ is doing to the signal. Not decoration — it reflects the actual processed audio. Creative interpretation of the real oscilloscope.
Personal and private

All audio processing happens locally on your device. No telemetry, no analytics, no account. The extension makes no external network requests. Settings are stored locally via chrome.storage.sync and persist across browser sessions.
Engine controls

Master Volume and Pre-Amp with symmetric ±12 dB ranges, double-click to reset. RESET button returns all controls to flat. Capture is sticky to the originally activated tab, with the captured hostname shown when you switch tabs.
