Smart Teleprompter is a Chrome extension for creators who record videos, presentations, and spoken content from a script.

It opens a dedicated teleprompter tab where you can paste a script, adjust readability settings, and let Chrome speech recognition follow your speech as you read.

Smart Teleprompter is intended as a practical recording tool. Speech recognition quality depends on Chrome and microphone conditions, so manual controls are included as a fallback when needed.

Smart Teleprompter stores user settings and script content locally in Chrome storage on the user’s device.

The extension does not send stored script text or settings to a custom remote server.

Speech recognition behavior depends on the browser’s built-in speech recognition implementation. Any browser-managed speech processing behavior is subject to the browser vendor’s own policies.

The extension is not designed to collect, sell, or transfer personal data to the developer.
