When ChatGPT browses the web to answer a question, it doesn't search for your exact words. It quietly rewrites your prompt into its own search-engine queries first, and those queries decide what gets retrieved and cited. You normally never see them. This extension does.

AI Search Query Capture watches ChatGPT's web searches while you use it normally, then lists the actual queries it ran, de-duplicated and timestamped, in a simple popup. One click exports them to CSV.

WHY IT'S USEFUL
- See "query fan-out": how a single prompt gets split into multiple real searches.
- Spot the phrasings and entities the model anchors on, useful signal if you care about being found in AI answers (GEO / answer engine optimisation).
- Complement your keyword research with observed AI behaviour rather than traditional search volume.

PRIVACY FIRST
Everything stays on your machine. There is no account, no server, and no tracking. Captured queries are saved only in your browser's local storage and are never transmitted anywhere. Clear them any time with one button.

HOW TO USE
1. Pin the extension.
2. Go to ChatGPT and ask something that needs current information (for example, "biggest AI announcements this week").
3. When the answer finishes, open the popup to see the searches it ran. Export to CSV if you want to analyse them.

GOOD TO KNOW
- Works on ChatGPT (chatgpt.com).
- Captures appear after the answer finishes, not live.
- Reads data only from your own ChatGPT session, in your own browser.
