Scrub covers six categories of everyday text and data work:

• Text — trim whitespace, fix line endings, normalize quotes, change case, remove duplicates, sort lines, and more.
• JSON — prettify, minify, validate, and (Pro) convert to/from CSV and YAML.
• CSV / YAML — (Pro) convert between formats with a single click.
• URL — decode and encode URLs, and (Pro) strip tracking parameters (UTM, fbclid, gclid, etc.) from any link.
• Encode — Base64 encode/decode, SHA-256 hashing, UUID generation, and timestamp ↔ date conversion.
• Image — (Pro) convert, resize, and inspect images entirely in the browser.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Everything Scrub does happens inside your browser, on your device. Nothing you paste, type, or process is ever sent anywhere.

Scrub collects no data. There are no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking scripts, no user accounts, and no servers of our own.

The only network request Scrub ever makes: when you enter a Pro license key, the key is sent to Gumroad (api.gumroad.com) to verify your purchase. That's it. Your text and data never leave your device.

Scrub also works fully offline after installation.

PERMISSIONS, EXPLAINED
────────────────────────────────────────

Scrub requests exactly three permissions:

activeTab — Powers the "Grab selection from page" button. When you click that button, Scrub reads the text you have selected on the current tab at that moment. It does not access any tab automatically or in the background.

scripting — Used to run a small one-time script on the active tab when you click the grab button. The script reads your selection and returns it. It never runs automatically and never touches any other tab.

storage — Saves your preferences (theme, last-used tool) and your Pro license status locally on your device. Nothing is synced or uploaded.

No host permissions. No access to your browsing history, cookies, passwords, or any other data.
