About

StarMapper adds a "Map" button to every GitHub repository page, so you can see where the stargazers come from without leaving GitHub.

Click the button and it opens an interactive world map at starmapper.bruniaux.com, showing all stargazers geocoded by location, grouped by city and country. The clustering makes large repos (100k+ stars) actually readable.

Features:
- Map button injected next to Watch / Star / Fork on any repo page
- Toolbar popup showing the current repo, your last 5 mapped repos, and a search field to map any repo by slug or URL
- Right-click any GitHub repo link to open it on StarMapper via context menu
- Follows GitHub's dark/light mode CSS variables
- Handles GitHub's SPA navigation, so the button reappears after client-side route changes
- Recent repos saved locally, no account required

No data collected, no tracking. Works on any public GitHub repository.
