Gaveki Focus Shield blocks distracting websites at the network level so they never load — not just a warning, not a redirect, a hard stop. When your Focus Shield is active, the sites your brain runs to during focus sessions are simply gone.
How it works
Install the extension and open the free Gaveki app at gaveki.com/app. Toggle the Shield on from the app's Shield tab or directly from the extension popup. That's it. No account required to use the blocker.
When the shield is on and you try to visit a blocked site, you'll see a focused redirect page reminding you what you were working on — and a one-click path back to your task.
What gets blocked
By default the extension blocks the highest-distraction sites including social media, video platforms, and news feeds. You can add any domain you want from inside the Gaveki app. Your custom list syncs automatically to the extension.
Built for ADHD brains
Gaveki is a focus app designed around how ADHD brains actually work — not how productivity gurus think they should work. The Focus Shield is one part of the system. The full app includes a Brain Dump, a focus timer with an ADHD coach, daily routines, streak tracking, and CBT reframing tools. All free to start.
Privacy
Gaveki Focus Shield does not track your browsing history. It does not send data to any server. It does not collect analytics. The blocked sites list lives on your device. The only network connection the extension makes is reading your Gaveki app state from your local browser storage — no data leaves your machine.
