About

PromptPane adds a fast, lightweight prompt index to your AI chat sessions.

Click the PromptPane icon while a conversation is open on ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or Claude. A clean popup lists every question you sent in the current chat, each paired with a short preview of the AI's response. Click any item to scroll directly to that exchange.

HOW IT WORKS

When you open the popup, PromptPane reads the visible content of your active chat page. It identifies your messages, pairs each with the first snippet of the following reply, and presents the results as a numbered list. Clicking a list item scrolls the page smoothly to that message and briefly highlights it so you know exactly where you are.

No typing. No searching. No scrolling through hundreds of messages.

PRIVACY

PromptPane processes your chat content entirely within your browser. It does not transmit any data to external servers, does not store conversation content, does not use remote code, and does not require any account or authentication. The extension requests access only to the specific chat platforms it supports no broad site permissions are used.

PERMISSIONS

PromptPane requests the activeTab permission to communicate with the chat page you are currently viewing, and host permissions for chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, gemini.google.com, and claude.ai to inject the content script on supported pages. No other permissions are requested.

GETTING STARTED

1. Install PromptPane and pin it to your Chrome toolbar.
2. Open any conversation on a supported platform.
3. Click the PromptPane icon.
4. Click any listed prompt to scroll directly to it.
