The kapok tree in the photo has a tall, upright trunk, rough bark, and an ancient look. 

The time of taking the photo was the kapok flower blooming season (March - April), so the tree almost lost all its leaves, leaving only bright red flowers covering the branches. 

The 5-petal kapok flowers are large, red-orange, and grow thickly at the ends of the branches, creating a brilliant scene against the pale gray sky. 

The background of the countryside with dirt roads, rice fields, and rows of green trees creates a peaceful, rustic feeling. 

The group of students cycling in the photo further highlights the space of the Vietnamese countryside during the kapok flower season.
