── WHAT YOU CAN TRACK ──

📝 Text — Watch for a specific word or phrase appearing or disappearing on any page. Supports plain text and regular expressions. Reports how many matches were found and shows a snippet of surrounding context.

🎯 CSS Selector — Watch for a specific page element by CSS selector (e.g. .in-stock, #buy-now, [data-available]). Perfect for stock availability flags, buttons that appear or disappear, and any UI state changes.

🔢 Element Count — Count all elements matching a selector and get notified when the number changes. Ideal for job boards, product listings, search results, and forum threads.

💰 Price — Track prices on any product page using 6 detection strategies tried automatically:
  · JSON-LD structured data (Shopify, WooCommerce, and most major stores)
  · Schema.org itemprop="price"
  · OpenGraph meta tags
  · Common data attributes (data-price, data-sale-price, data-product-price, and more)

── FAST — NO TAB FLICKER ──

For most sites, Text Watcher checks pages silently in the background with no visible tab opened. Only when a page requires JavaScript rendering does it briefly open a background tab — never your active window. Shopify, WooCommerce, and sites with JSON-LD pricing are typically checked invisibly.
