About

Keep private notes on every Jira ticket — visible only to you.

Jira comments are public, but your thoughts don't have to be. Jira Scratch adds a floating notepad to every Jira page. Notes are tied to the ticket key and saved locally in your browser. No server, no account, no tracking.

FEATURES:
- Full Markdown support with live preview (headers, bold, italic, code blocks, checklists, links, blockquotes)
- Powerful real-time search across all notes with highlighting
- Smart #hashtag organization with color-coded tags
- 6 quick templates: Decision Log, TODO List, Bug Analysis, Meeting Notes, Code Review, Blocker
- Pin important notes to keep them at the top
- Dark & light mode (follows system or set manually)
- Right-click context menu — select text on any Jira page and add it as a quote
- Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+Shift+N to toggle, Ctrl+Enter to save, Ctrl+F to search
- Draggable and resizable widget — your layout is remembered
- Export/import notes as JSON or Markdown
- Support for multiple Jira instances (Cloud, Server, Data Center)
- Auto-save with visual feedback (500ms debounce)
- Note statistics: character count, word count, last saved time

PRIVACY:
- 100% local storage — notes never leave your browser
- Zero network requests to external servers
- No analytics or telemetry
- No account required
- Open source (MIT License)

Perfect for:
- Decision context — "Why did we choose this approach?"
- Meeting notes tied to specific tickets
- Personal TODOs you don't want in public comments
- Quick links to Slack threads, docs, PRs
- Code review observations
- Bug investigation notes

Works with Jira Cloud (*.atlassian.net), Jira Server, and Jira Data Center.
