Changelog
- Apr 17, 2026description
The Thyroid Reporting Tool is a streamlined, radiologist and sonographer-centric reporting assistant designed to standardize thyroid ultrasound reports while minimizing dictation and editing time. The tool is built around structured input with intelligent defaults, ensuring that normal findings auto-populate clean, complete report statements, while abnormal findings can be added rapidly without breaking report flow. Core Features 1. Structured, anatomy-based layout Separate sections for: Right thyroid lobe Left thyroid lobe Isthmus Each lobe is clearly separated in the final report (no inline clutter), improving readability and audit compliance. 2. Nodule-focused workflow (without forcing TI-RADS) Each nodule is reported as a distinct block, including: Location (right/left, superior/mid/inferior) Size Composition, echogenicity, margins, calcifications (where applicable) “TR” or risk category appears on a new line, ensuring clarity and preventing run-on text. TI-RADS scoring is optional and can be excluded if the radiologist prefers narrative assessment or uses a separate tool. 3. Intelligent spacing and formatting Automatically: Inserts line breaks between lobes and nodules Prevents sonographer text from appearing as a single paragraph Maintains consistent spacing across different exam types Produces a clean, publication-ready report with minimal manual editing. 4. Normal-by-default logic If no abnormal option is selected: The tool generates a concise, standard normal thyroid statement Avoids unnecessary “no abnormality” clutter while ensuring completeness. 5. Integrated comments (no “Other Comments” section) Free-text inputs are merged naturally into the report Prevents disjointed subsections and keeps reports clinically readable. 6. Dark-mode friendly Optimized for PACS reading environments Reduces eye strain during prolonged reporting sessions. Clinical Value Reduces reporting time Improves consistency across radiologists Minimizes post-dictation editing Produces reports that are: Clear for referrers Structured for MDTs Audit- and guideline-friendly
