Anonym.Legal — Anonymize personal data before it ever reaches an AI chat.

Anonym.Legal automatically detects and anonymizes personal and sensitive information in your prompts before they are sent to an AI chat assistant. Sensitive values are encrypted on the way out and seamlessly decrypted inside the AI's response — so you keep full, readable answers while your real data stays under your control.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Type your prompt as usual.
2. Anonym.Legal intercepts it and detects PII — names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, IDs, secrets and more.
3. A preview shows exactly what was found and how it will be protected. You stay in control.
4. The anonymized prompt is sent to the AI.
5. The response is automatically decrypted in place, so you read the original values — highlighted, with a one-click toggle between original and protected view.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
• Your API token and encryption keys stay in the extension's local secure vault (PBKDF2 600,000 iterations, AES-256-GCM).
• PII detection runs against the Anonym.Legal backend over an encrypted connection. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties.
• Minimal permissions — protection is enabled only on the AI assistants you explicitly choose.
