The classic Chrome Audio Capture stopped working for many users after the move to MV3. Most newer recorders want an account or bolt AI transcription on top with a paywall. Audio Recorder Lite does one thing. Open the tab you want to record. Click the icon. Click Start. When you click Stop, an audio file lands in your Downloads folder. That is the whole product. If you want trimming, transcription, or multi-tab mixing, pick a heavier tool. This is the lighter alternative. **Features:** - One click capture of the active tab's audio. - No time limit. Record a 30 second clip or a 3 hour stream. Only disk space stops you. - No watermark, no vendor branding on the file. - Saves MP4 (AAC) when your browser supports it, WebM (Opus) otherwise. Both open in most modern players. - Toolbar badge shows REC while capturing so you always know it is running. - Keyboard shortcut: Alt+Shift+A toggles recording. Remappable.
