Select text on any page. Right-click. Pick "Read aloud". Done.

Two playback modes:

1. **Browser voices** (default) - Uses the speech engine built into your operating system. Free. Works offline. The text you read never leaves your device.

2. **AI voices** (opt-in) - Six expressive voices from OpenAI's TTS engine. Better quality than your OS voices. Free trial of about 5,000 characters per day (around 2-3 minutes of speech). Stays off until you switch it on.

**Features:**
- Right-click on any selected text to read it aloud.
- Play, pause, and stop from the popup while audio plays.
- Voice quality toggle in the popup: Browser or AI.
- Browser mode: pick from every voice your browser exposes, grouped by language. Speed 0.5x to 2x. Pitch 0.5 to 2.
- AI mode: pick from 6 voices (Alloy, Echo, Fable, Onyx, Nova, Shimmer).
- Your settings save between sessions.
