VideoGrab is a lightweight, privacy-friendly browser extension that automatically detects video files playing or embedded on any webpage and lets you download them with a single click — no accounts, no servers, no tracking.

🎬 How It Works
The moment you open a webpage, VideoGrab silently monitors network requests in the background. When a video file loads — whether it's an MP4 in a player, a streaming segment, or a linked file — it's instantly captured and listed in the popup. Just click the extension icon to see everything found, then hit Download.

Automatic Video Detection
VideoGrab intercepts HTTP responses in real time and identifies video content by MIME type and file extension — no manual effort required. Detected videos appear in the popup as soon as they load on the page.

Wide Format Support
Supports all major video and audio formats.

DOM Scanner
The built-in Scan page for video links now button actively searches the page's HTML for <video> tags, <source> elements, <a> links, and data-src attributes — catching videos that may not have triggered a network request yet.

File Size Display
Each detected video shows its file size (e.g. 29.1 MB, 9.9 MB) so you can quickly identify the quality or version you want before downloading.

Stream File Support
Optionally show adaptive streaming files (.m3u8, .m4s, .ts) alongside standard video files — useful for advanced users working with HLS streams.

Smart Filtering
A configurable minimum file size filter (50 KB by default) automatically skips tiny fragments, thumbnails, and tracking pixels, keeping your list clean and relevant.

Configurable Settings
Auto-scan page on open — automatically scan the DOM every time the popup opens
Show stream files — toggle visibility of HLS/DASH stream segments
Min file size filter — skip files below 50 KB to reduce noise

Badge Counter
The extension icon displays a live badge count of how many videos have been found on the current tab — so you always know at a glance when there's something to grab.

Copy URL
Each video entry includes a Copy button to grab the direct URL for use in external downloaders, media players, or your own tools.

Tab-Isolated
Video lists are tracked per tab and automatically cleared when you navigate to a new page — no stale results, no cross-tab confusion.
