Recipe Quantity Helper puts exact ingredient amounts right where you're reading — inline, in the instructions — so you never have to scroll back to the ingredient list mid-cook.

HOW IT WORKS

When you open any supported recipe page, the extension reads the ingredient list and automatically inserts small orange badges next to every ingredient mentioned in the instructions. "Add olive oil to the pan" becomes "Add [2 tbsp] olive oil to the pan." The amounts are always in view, right where you need them.

KEY FEATURES

• Inline quantity badges — quantities appear directly inside instruction text, colour-coded in orange so they're easy to spot at a glance.

• Floating ingredient sidebar — a collapsible panel on the right edge lists every ingredient with its quantity. Check items off as you prep; checked items fade out with a strikethrough.

• Mention counts & step navigator — each ingredient in the sidebar shows how many instruction steps use it. Tap the count to open a popup listing each step's text. Click any step to jump there and see it highlighted on the page.

• Scale servings — choose ½×, 1×, 2×, or 3× from the popup. All badges and the sidebar update instantly.

• Unit conversion — switch between metric and imperial with one click. Cups become ml; ounces become grams.

• Keep Screen Awake — a single tap in the sidebar activates the Screen Wake Lock API, keeping your display on while you cook without touching your phone.

• Works on all major recipe sites — including RecipeTinEats, Tastes Better From Scratch, The Recipe Critic, Half Baked Harvest, Serious Eats, Food52, and thousands of sites powered by WP Recipe Maker, Tasty, and other popular recipe plugins.

Recipe Quantity Helper reads the current page only when you visit a recipe site. It stores your scale and unit preferences locally in Chrome sync storage. No account, no tracking, no data ever leaves your device.
