Tired of saving messy web pages as PDFs full of ads, sidebars, cookie banners, and popups? PDF Page Studio gives you a tiny toolbar button that turns any page into a clean, distraction-free PDF in one click — and a lot more.

What you can do

📖  Clean Reader Mode — Strip out ads, navs, sidebars, and popups so only the article remains. Powered by Mozilla's Readability engine (the same one Firefox uses), it reformats the page for comfortable reading and clean output.

📄  Save as PDF — One click and the current page is saved as a proper PDF: real, vector text that's searchable, selectable, and crisp at any zoom level. Not a flattened screenshot. Pairs perfectly with Reader Mode for a tidy, archive-ready file.

🖨️  Print — Send the cleaned-up page directly to your printer using your system print dialog. No more wasting paper on ad banners.

📸  Full-Page Screenshot — Capture the entire page, top to bottom, even content below the fold. The extension scrolls the page, captures each viewport, and stitches them into one tall PNG saved straight to your Downloads folder.

✏️  Edit Local PDF — Open any PDF from your computer right in your browser, then:
• Highlight text in yellow, pink, green, or any color
• Draw freehand and add arrows
• Add sticky notes and text boxes
• Save your annotations back as a real PDF

Your file never leaves your device. There's no upload, no account, no waiting on a server.

🤖  AI Summary (optional) — Get a quick summary of any article. Bring your own OpenAI API key (set it in Settings, stored only on your device, sent only to OpenAI). Skip this section entirely if you don't want it — every other feature works without it.

Privacy

Everything happens on your device. The PDF editor never uploads your files. Reader Mode runs entirely in your browser. Full-page screenshots stay local. The only feature that sends data anywhere is the optional AI Summary, and only if you choose to add an OpenAI key — in which case content goes only to api.openai.com using your own key.

Permissions, briefly

• activeTab + scripting — to inject the reader script into the page when you click the button
• storage — to remember your settings (optional OpenAI key, preferred model)
• tabs + downloads — to save full-page screenshots into your Downloads folder
• unlimitedStorage — so the PDF editor can handle large local files
• <all_urls> — so the extension works on any site you visit
