About

Drishti (दृष्टि) means "vision" or "insight" — a small nudge to look past the next scroll and back at what you are meant to be doing.

Stay focused, without the anxiety of a hard lockout. Drishti blocks the sites that pull you away from your work with one click — and when you're ready to unblock, it asks you to sit with a verse from the Bhagavad Gita first, so you leave with a clearer head instead of just caving to impulse.

**Block what distracts you**
• One-click toggle from the toolbar, the popup, or the full options page — all three stay in sync instantly.
• Add any number of sites to your blocklist; blocking a domain also blocks all its subdomains (e.g. blocking x.com covers www.x.com too).
• See the site you're currently on and block or unblock it right from the popup, no need to dig through settings.
• Works even on sites that hide behind a service worker (like X/Twitter) — Drishti catches these with a second layer of protection, not just network-level blocking.
• Turns on instantly, even redirecting a site you're already on the moment you flip the switch.

**A calmer way to say no**
• Every blocked page shows an animated Sanskrit mandala and a verse from the Bhagavad Gita — Devanagari, transliteration, and English translation — with narrated audio, instead of a jarring "access denied" screen.
• Browse chronologically through the whole verse collection with simple next/previous controls, or just let a new one greet you each time.

**Friction where it counts**
• Turning blocking ON is always instant — no barriers when you're trying to focus.
• Turning blocking OFF asks you to listen to a full verse first. It's a small pause, just enough to turn an impulsive click into a conscious choice.

**Know your status at a glance**
• The toolbar icon carries a small green or red dot so you always know whether blocking is active, without opening anything.

**Set up once, forget the rest**
• The options page opens automatically the first time you install Drishti, so your blocklist is one step away from day one.
• Your blocklist and settings persist across browser restarts.
