Changelog
- May 16, 2026description
A one-click report that lets you view page content like an AI crawler and analyze what’s available for generative engine datasets. What it does: → Indicates content in the response HTML that AI bots can access. → Reports code snippets that search engine crawlers ignore, but AI bots can crawl. How it helps: → Makes it easier to identify user-friendly content that’s inaccessible to AI crawlers, thus absent from the datasets AI tools use to generate answers. → Helps pinpoint problematic (private, embarrassing, etc.) text in code snippets that could become part of AI datasets and surface in generative answers. Why it helps: Even if a user can see something in their browser, it might be completely invisible to generative engines like ChatGPT and Claude. That’s because AI search experiences use different processes to crawl the web than search engines like Google. Most notably, the AI bots that crawl and collect data generally don’t render JavaScript. Features: → Reports findings categorized by content type: on-page text, links, media, and text in code that users can’t see. → An intuitive, at-a-glance interface includes tabs for each content type. → Easily export findings to support developer documentation. → Empowers you to audit your site’s AI-friendliness and scope solutions that work for both GEO and SEO. Feedback: If you think The AI Difference Engine is awesome, help us get the word out by rating it five stars. We welcome your suggestions, requests, and experiences at [email protected]. Privacy: Once the extension is enabled in Chrome, there’s no need to grant any additional permissions. The AI Difference engine does not collect or store personal data, or any other data, from the webpages you browse.
