About

Short Description
DayTrace shows where today’s browser time went with local, privacy-first usage stats.
Detailed Description
DayTrace is a privacy-first Chrome extension that gives you a Screen Time-style recap for your browser.
It tracks your active browser tab locally after installation and summarizes today’s web usage by total time, top websites, categories, focus ratio, and hourly activity. You can quickly see whether your time went into work, learning, news, social media, video, shopping, finance, tools, or other browsing.
Your data stays on your device. DayTrace stores domain-level usage summaries in Chrome local storage and does not upload your browsing data. It does not read page content, take screenshots, collect passwords, read cookies, or access your full browsing history.
Single Purpose
DayTrace helps users understand how they spent their browser time today through local usage tracking and category-based summaries.
