About

GutCheck inserts a friction panel directly above Amazon's Add to Cart button on every product page. When you hover over the buy buttons, the panel shakes and highlights — a gentle nudge to pause before purchasing.

From the panel, you can search for the same product in a few better ways:

- Search Google — jumps straight into Google Shopping results for the item
- Search Nearby — opens Google Maps so you can find the product locally
- Secondhand Listings — searches Facebook Marketplace for used options
- Local Bookstores — searches IndieBound if the product is a book

Once you click any search option, the panel icon swaps to a checkmark to confirm you've done your due diligence.

GutCheck makes no network requests, stores no data, and tracks nothing about you or your browsing. It works entirely on-page and only activates on Amazon product URLs.
