### Who it's for

BidScreen is built for **freelance bid writers**, **in-house bid teams**, and **small procurement consultancies** who review 10–30+ tenders per week. If you spend time reading tender documents before deciding whether to bid, BidScreen cuts that triage time significantly.

**This is a qualification tool, not a bid writing tool.** It helps you decide whether to bid — it does not write your response.

It is not designed for occasional SME bidders or organisations bidding once or twice a year — for those users, the setup friction of an API key won't be worth it until Pro launches.

### Privacy

Your API key and business profile are stored **locally in your browser** using Chrome's built-in secure storage. They never leave your device and are never sent to BidScreen's servers.

The only external call BidScreen makes is to the **Google Gemini API** — the text content of the tender page is sent to Gemini for analysis, exactly as if you had pasted it into Google AI Studio yourself.
