Tired of websites that open every link in a brand-new tab? Same Tab Links lets you take back control — only on the sites you choose.

Add a website once, and from then on every "open in new tab" link on that site opens in the current tab instead. Middle-click and Ctrl/Cmd+click still open a new tab, so the manual shortcut you actually want continues to work.

How it works
1. Click the extension icon.
2. Paste any URL.
3. Pick a scope (domain, subdomains, or exact page).
4. Click Add Site.

That site will now open links in the same tab. Middle-click and Ctrl/Cmd+click are preserved — you keep full control over when a new tab actually opens.

Permissions
• "Storage" — to remember your list and on/off toggle in Chrome's local storage.
• "Read and change all your data on websites you visit" — required because you can add any site to the list. The extension's content script checks at the very first moment of page load whether the current URL matches one of YOUR saved patterns. If it doesn't match, the script exits immediately and does nothing. No browsing data is collected, read, or transmitted — see the privacy policy for details.
