MarkUp is a Chrome extension that lets you annotate live webpages and export structured change requests to AI coding assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, and Claude Code. Draw your changes instead of describing them.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Press Cmd+Shift+M (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+M (Windows) on any webpage
2. Draw callouts, arrows, shapes, or freeform annotations directly on the page
3. Label each callout with what needs to change
4. Click "Copy to clipboard" — the annotated screenshot plus a structured markdown changelog are ready to paste into your AI
5. Or click "Save" to drop the export into a local folder your Claude Code agent is watching

BUILT FOR THE AI DEVELOPMENT WORKFLOW

MarkUp exports include CSS selectors for every annotated element. Claude Code and other AI agents get a precise address, not a description. No more "make the button on the right a bit bigger" — every change is anchored to the actual element.

The export format is a PNG image plus a plain markdown file. Both work with any AI assistant that accepts image or file input.

MarkUp is free during Early Access. Sign up at markupextension.com/beta to share feedback. The first 500 testers who complete our questionnaire earn lifetime free access once MarkUp launches generally.

After Early Access ends, MarkUp will continue to offer a free individual tier plus paid subscriptions for power features.
