About
FTP Playlist Grabber Detailed Description FTP Playlist Grabber is the fastest way to turn any FTP directory listing into a ready-to-use video playlist. Open any FTP index page (Apache, nginx, lighttpd, custom servers), click the extension icon, and it instantly finds every video link on the page — then lets you export them as a playlist for VLC, Kodi, mpv, Potplayer, or any compatible player. ✨ Features Smart Multi-Strategy Scanner: Detects video links via anchor tags, pre-formatted blocks, bare text URLs, data attributes, and video/source elements — works on virtually every FTP listing style. 5 Export Formats: * .m3u — Standard playlist (VLC, Kodi, Windows Media Player) .m3u8 — UTF-8 playlist (best for non-ASCII filenames, HLS players) .pls — Winamp / Foobar2000 / legacy players .xspf — XML Shareable Playlist Format (Rhythmbox, Clementine) .txt — Plain URL list for scripting or custom use Powerful Selection Controls: Click individual files to include/exclude, Select All / Deselect All / Invert Selection, filter by filename or URL search, filter by video extension, or sort by original order, alphabetically, or grouped by extension. Drag to Reorder: Drag and drop files in the list to rearrange your playlist before exporting. Per-Item Actions: Copy individual URLs to the clipboard, open a video in a new tab, or remove a specific file from the list. Stats Tab: See a visual breakdown of video formats found, with a bar chart by extension type. Scan History: Keeps a log of your last 50 scanned pages with video count and timestamp. Click any entry to revisit the page. Recursive Subdirectory Scanning: Optionally scan linked sub-folders automatically (configurable depth 1–5). Limited to the same origin for safety. Fully Configurable: Add custom video extensions, set default export formats, toggle serial number displays, toggle clean title generation in #EXTINF tags, and adjust the default sort order. Right-Click Integration: Right-click any FTP page and choose "Grab Video Links → Playlist" to open the scanner instantly. Keyboard Shortcuts: Ctrl+A (Select all), Ctrl+R (Rescan), and Esc (Clear filter). 🔒 Privacy This extension collects zero personal data. No tracking, no analytics, no external servers. Settings and scan history are stored locally on your device only. See the full privacy policy for details. 📋 Supported Video Formats Works seamlessly with all major standard and high-definition video files (such as MP4, MKV, AVI, and WebM). You can also easily add and configure any custom file extensions you need directly in the settings. 🖥️ Supported Server Types Compatible with standard web server directory listings (including Apache, nginx, and lighttpd), FTP web interfaces like FileZilla, and practically any webpage containing direct video URLs.
