About

Contested Cases Report is a productivity-focused extension for court staff who work with CMS export files.
It helps you turn raw CMS Excel data into a neat, professional List of Contested Cases in just a few clicks.

What this extension does

Assists with CMS export (optional helper)

Choose Case Type (Decided, Pending, Transfer In/Out, Closed/Merge).

Enter From and To dates in the popup (DD-MM-YYYY).

Click “Fill CMS & Click Export” and the extension:

Fills the CMS export form fields for you.

Clicks the Export button automatically on the CMS page you already have open.

Generate a formatted Contested Cases Report

After the CMS export finishes and the Excel file is downloaded, open the extension popup.

Select the exported Excel file.

The extension generates a formatted contested-cases report in a new browser tab, including:

Judge heading (name, designation, station).

Smart main title, e.g.:
“LIST OF CONTESTED CASES FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER 2025”
or, for a range,
“…FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER 2025 TO NOVEMBER 2025”.

A clear table with:

Serial

Case No.

Institution Date

Subcategory

Case Title

Decision Date

Decision Type

A stamp block for the presiding officer at the bottom of the report.

Work with the report easily

Sort cases inside the report by:

Decision Date, or

Institution Date

Print the report directly from the browser in a clean format.

Export the visible report back to Excel (for sharing, record-keeping, or further processing).

Key benefits

Saves time on manual form filling for CMS export.

Converts raw CMS-style Excel into a court-ready contested-cases list.

Built-in sorting helps you quickly review workload and performance.

The layout is designed for practical use in judicial / office environments.

Privacy & data

All processing is done locally in your browser.

The extension only interacts with the CMS page/tab that you open.

No case data is uploaded or sent to any external server by this tool.
